11月20日付「小惑星 2022 WJ1 が大気圏突入」の続報です。
地上の気象レーダーには、小惑星 2022 WJ1 が高度 850m に達するまで飛跡が映っていたそうです。また、NASA によると、破片のほとんどはオンタリオ湖に落下したが、小さな塊は陸地にまで到達した可能性があるとのことです。
Last night, newly-discovered asteroid 2022 WJ1 impacted Earth near Niagara Falls. Only about 1 meter wide, it caused no damage.
