ハイリ･グッビ山が大規模噴火 — エチオピア

 

日本時間 11月23日17時30分ごろ、アフリカ大陸北東部エチオピアのアファール地溝帯にあるハイリ･グッビ山（地図）で大規模な爆発的噴火が発生しました。噴煙は紅海を越えてアラビア半島にも到達しています。同じ地溝帯にあるエルタ･アレ山は活発な火山活動で有名ですが、ハイリ･グッビ山には完新世の噴火の痕跡はありません：
