「地球の反射率(アルベド)が過去最低を更新し続けるのにともなって、地球システムに吸収される太陽放射の割合が増加し、その結果、海洋、大気、陸地を加熱し、氷を溶かすのに使われるエネルギー量が増加している」:
As the reflectivity (albedo) of Earth continues to set new record lows, more of the incoming solar radiation is absorbed by the Earth system, increasing the amount of energy available to heat the oceans, atmosphere, and land, and to melt ice.
